Have purchased gas, food, etc here for years. Just now stopped for drinks and gas and when came back out my car would not start. I waited 15 minutes until my mother could come with jumper cables. At this time the small older man came out and started yelling at me to move my car that I had been parked for too long at the pump. I was one of two cars in the lot with 12 pumps, so 10 of them were open. I explained to him my battery was dead and my mother was here with cables to jump it. He rolled his eyes and threw his arms up and stormed back inside. Once my car was started I went back into the store and asked him why he felt the need to be so rude and he began yelling at me. In the past week alone I've bought gas there three times, a car wash, and drinks. I told him my family that lives two houses up would not be shopping there anymore at this point he realized who my mother was and that my family of six bring each of their six vehicles here multiple times a week and that the commercial truck fleet my father owns gives this place at minimum five fuel stops a day so he ran out and tried to apologize to my mother, who assured him our family and my fathers company would not be back, we will go the extra two minutes across the street.
The manager was extremely rude and refused to refund me my 8$ after I had a bad experience in the car wash (which was a terrifying experience in itself). The front and back of my car weren't even cleaned. It's extremely rare that I ask for a refund and don't appreciate being treated the way that I was. There are many other amazing places to get gas along with other things you need (coffee, snacks, movies) in Mt. Airy I strongly suggest you dont go here.
This shell station is one of the highest priced in town. I've had never been inside but have gotten a car wash which didn't really clean the car too well. I recommend getting gas on the northern side of the interstate in town.
Clean nice bathroom open 24 hours right off the highway lifesaver...
They have diesel. Gas prices too high. Staff is either rude or indifferent. This place also smells really bad.
