I've then taking my kids to dr. Clarence in Mount Airy since May and I think she is wonderful always attentive and listening and both of my kids feel very comfortable with her.
I do not recommend this practice. I brought my son in today to be seen for suspected Lyme. We saw Dr. Clarence in the Mt. Airy office. During my phone conversation with Dr. Clarence where I was expressing my concerns about my son's symptoms, she was argumentative and dismissive of my concerns. She actually hung up on me. I called her back and asked her if she just hung up on me and she responded with, "oh, I thought our conversation was over." I informed her that it was not snd she responded with, " well it is now" and hung up again. I called back and asked her if she just hung up on me again and she didn't say anything and hung up again. I called back and asked if she hung up on me 3 times when I'm trying to confirm the pharmacy to call in the prescription. She yelled at me and said "New Market." I said...no...that's not correct and told her CVS in Middletown. She yelled at me and said, "that's the one I sent it to." I asked her why she said New Market and she responded with..."Sometimes my brain doesn't work." The extreme lack of professionalism and terrible bedside manner was outrageous bordering on malpractice. I would highly caution anyone who might be considering Frederick Pediatric Associates and Dr. Clarence in particular.
